Richard Ng, D.O.
As the Medical Director of CAIPA, Dr. Richard Ng leads the entire CAIPA Care Team. The Care Team involves care coordination at the IPA level. Currently, we are active in Transitional Care Management to reduce avoidable 30-day readmissions for patients with ambulatory sensitive conditions.
Dr. Ng is interested in population health, medical-economics, end-of-life care, and best practices according to established guidelines. He obtained his medical degree from the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in Long Island, New York. He finished a rotating internship at the Methodist Hospital in Brooklyn, and completed his medical residency in The Brooklyn Hospital Medical Center. After serving one year as Chief Medical Resident in the residency training program, he completed a fellowship in gastroenterology at The Brooklyn Medical Center.
He ran his private practice in lower Manhattan until 2012 before he joined CAIPA and became the first Medical Director.
